Claudia Sheinbaum Faces Protests and Shows Support in Guerrero Amid Cancelled Zacatecas Visit

In San Isidro Gallinero, a community in Acapulco, Guerrero, residents gathered around Estela Damián and loudly proclaimed their solidarity with President Claudia Sheinbaum, chanting “¡No estás sola, Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum!” and pledging support for her agenda.

The president later explained that she altered her itinerary, cancelling a planned visit to Zacatecas to avoid confrontations with teachers and social groups who had organized protests. She opted instead to travel to San Luis Potosí, saying, “Para qué generamos ahí un mal momento, entonces mejor decidimos ir a San Luis.” The change was aimed at preventing disruptions and maintaining dialogue with dissenting sectors.
