Claudia Sheinbaum conducts national tour to report on welfare and infrastructure

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo is conducting a national tour titled ‘Honesty and Results’ to present her second government report, visiting 18 Mexican states to date. During the tour, she has highlighted the impact of federal welfare programs and major infrastructure projects across various regions.

In Yucatán, Sheinbaum reported that 781,215 residents receive welfare benefits, representing an investment of over 17 billion pesos. Key developments in the state include the Maya Train freight line, new CFE combined-cycle power plants, and the expansion of IMSS-Bienestar medical services, including 244 new clinics set to operate by January 2027.

In Hidalgo, the President noted that 1,109,427 people benefit from federal programs. She also highlighted the upcoming inauguration of the Mexico City-Pachuca train next year. In Quintana Roo, 486,167 people receive federal support, with an annual investment of 9,241 million pesos.

Additionally, the President addressed regional economic and social developments, such as job creation in Hidalgo and urban competitiveness in Quintana Roo cities like Playa del Carmen and Chetumal.
