Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos have moved to restore institutional coordination following months of tension. The two leaders met privately in Ciudad Juárez to address security, water management, and the ongoing investigation into the presence of CIA agents in the state.

Sheinbaum confirmed that the Attorney General's Office (FGR) is investigating the possible involvement of officials in allowing illegal CIA activities during a previous operation in the Sierra Tarahumara. The President emphasized that any administrative or political coordination will proceed through the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), while security matters must be handled exclusively through the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection.

In addition to security, Governor Campos has been conducting meetings in Mexico City with officials from the National Water Commission (Conagua) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader). These discussions aim to address critical water scarcity and the needs of the agricultural sector in Chihuahua.
