Sheinbaum presents Second Government Report across Mexico

President Claudia Sheinbaum is conducting a national tour to present her Second Government Report, highlighting various social, infrastructure, and security achievements across Mexico.

In Guanajuato, Sheinbaum and Governor Libia Dennise reported a significant reduction in violence, noting that daily homicide victims dropped from 12.7 in February 2025 to 3.2 in August 2026. This follows coordinated efforts between federal and state authorities.

Regarding infrastructure, the President announced that the Mexico City-Querétaro passenger train is expected to be operational by the second half of 2027. In Michoacán, the state housing program through Infonavit has projected 19,000 homes in Morelia, including developments in Catania and Camponubes.

During her visit to Ciudad Juárez, Sheinbaum held a brief meeting with Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos at the airport to address institutional communication, despite previous tensions regarding security investigations. The meeting aimed to improve coordination between the federal and state governments.
