Claudio Úbeda says he may consider River coaching job after Boca exit

Claudio Úbeda’s tenure as Boca Juniors head coach has ended following the club’s elimination in the Copa Libertadores group stage and a round‑of‑16 loss in the Torneo Apertura. The Boca board, led by Juan Román Riquelme, appointed Rodolfo Arruabarrena as his successor.

In a recent interview with YouTuber Ezzequiel, Úbeda participated in a true‑or‑false segment and was asked whether he would ever accept a proposal from River Plate. He replied, “I don’t know,” leaving the possibility of managing the arch‑rival open. He also defended his Boca spell, suggesting his performance would be judged positively if he based his assessment solely on media opinion.
