Claudio Lotito Nears €2 Million Deal to Acquire Reggina

Claudio Lotito, the Lazio chairman, is reported to be in the final stages of purchasing the Serie B club Reggina for an estimated €2 million. The negotiations have accelerated after a rival bidder withdrew, and the mayor of Reggio Calabria is expected to travel to Rome to discuss the closing steps. Details of Lotito’s future role at the club, whether as owner or president, remain unclear.

In a separate development, Vincenzo Rota announced the abandonment of his attempt to acquire Cosenza Calcio. Rota’s proposal for a 100 % share purchase, backed by a comprehensive business plan, was rejected as the club’s owners refused to meet with his team, ending the negotiations and leaving the club’s future ownership unchanged.
