Claudio Luiz Lottenberg takes leave from Albert Einstein Hospital

Claudio Luiz Lottenberg, president of the Deliberative Council at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, has taken a leave of absence from his governance duties at the institution. The leave, effective September 1, will last until the end of the electoral period.

The hospital stated that this decision complies with its Code of Ethics, which requires absolute political neutrality and prohibits the use of institutional resources for political purposes.

The move follows an announcement by PL presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro, who stated during a televised interview that Lottenberg would serve as his Minister of Health in the event of his election. Bolsonaro described Lottenberg as a highly prepared professional with extensive private sector experience who could help modernize the Unified Health System (SUS).
