Claudio Vidal disputes Río Turbio mayor over public works funding

Santa Cruz Governor Claudio Vidal has responded to criticisms from Río Turbio Mayor Darío Menna regarding the lack of public works in the municipality. During a press conference following the presentation of the Industrial Promotion Law regulations, Vidal challenged Menna’s claims that the provincial government is responsible for the town's current situation.

Vidal noted that Menna has been in office for seven years and argued that both previous and current provincial administrations have allocated funds for projects that were never completed. The Governor emphasized that the province distributes municipal co-participation funds strictly according to the law, regardless of political affiliation, and asserted that the responsibility for the state of the locality lies with the municipal management.
