Clay Travis offers $10 million bet for WNBA champion vs boys team

OutKick founder Clay Travis announced a $10 million wager for a head‑to‑head basketball game between the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and a boys’ high‑school state‑championship team. If the Aces win, Travis will pay the boys $10 million; if the boys win, the league will pay Travis $10 million. The matchup would be broadcast pay‑per‑view, with all profits donated to the Tunnel to Towers charity, which builds mortgage‑free homes for families of fallen service members, police and first responders.

Travis framed the challenge amid the ongoing debate over transgender participation in women’s sports, referencing comments by Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham. He noted that this is an escalation of a 2023 offer that proposed a $1 million prize, and suggested that NBA commissioner Adam Silver might need to provide a loan to the league if the game proceeds.
