Clayface runtime confirmed for DC Studios horror film

The upcoming DC Studios film ‘Clayface’ has a confirmed theatrical runtime of 1 hour and 48 minutes (108 minutes). Directed by James Watkins with a screenplay involving Mike Flanagan, the film is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026. This runtime ties it with ‘Supergirl’ as one of the shortest films in the new DC Universe.

Marking the DCU’s first R-rated feature, the production took place partly in Leavesden, England. Lead actor Tom Rhys Harries, who portrays Matt Hagen, noted an encounter with Marvel’s Tom Holland during the production period while both were filming near the same studios. The film is expected to introduce audiences to Gotham City and may potentially link to future DC projects like ‘The Brave and the Bold’.
