Clea launches Vendor Payments to streamline African cross‑border supplier payments

Clea, a stablecoin‑powered cross‑border payments platform, introduced a new feature called Vendor Payments that lets African businesses pay international suppliers, auction platforms and shipping companies directly from the Clea system. The service supports USD payments to selected vendors such as vehicle auction platforms Copart and IAA, with pre‑configured vendor details enabling instant transactions.

Since emerging from stealth in December 2025, Clea has processed over $20 million in transaction volume and more than 50 businesses have adopted Vendor Payments. Founder and CEO Sheriff Adedokun said the launch reduces fragmentation in international supplier payments and expands the financial infrastructure needed for African firms to trade globally with confidence.
