Clean Energy Fuels posts Q2 2026 earnings in line with outlook as RNG volumes rise

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. reported second‑quarter 2026 results that met its financial outlook. Revenue reached $106.4 million, up from $102.6 million a year earlier, and adjusted EBITDA was $16 million. Renewable natural gas (RNG) sales totaled $63 million, and the company ended June with $138 million in cash and short‑term investments.

Fuel volumes increased 7% year over year to 81.8 million gallons, driven largely by conventional natural gas. RNG volumes grew 3% to 63.2 million gallons, with dairy‑based RNG projects producing 2.1 million gallons, surpassing the prior‑year level. The firm maintains its full‑year adjusted EBITDA guidance of $70 million and expects the upstream RNG business to improve in the second half of the year.

The earnings call featured President and CEO Clay Corbus, CFO Bob Vreeland, and other executives, who highlighted progress at projects in Texas and Idaho and the joint‑venture pipeline with Maas Energy Works.
