Clean TeQ Water wins A$5.4 million contract for Syerston Scandium Project

Clean TeQ Water Limited has been awarded a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and early works contract by Sunrise Energy Metals Limited for the scandium recovery circuit at the Syerston Scandium Project in New South Wales. The total engagement value is potentially up to A$5.4 million.

The contract includes a FEED scope valued at approximately A$2.0 million (excluding GST), which is expected to be recognized substantially in the 2027 financial year. Additionally, the agreement includes a provisional sum of approximately A$3.4 million for long-lead deliverables intended to protect the project schedule. These provisional sums are subject to Sunrise Energy Metals electing to release them in tranches during the FEED phase.

Clean TeQ Water’s scope involves the continuous Resin-in-Pulp (cRIP) ion exchange circuit, utilizing Moving Bed Ion Exchange (MBIX) technology, and the downstream scandium refinery. CEO Peter Voigt noted that the award follows preliminary testwork and serves as an endorsement of the technical collaboration between the two companies.
