Cleaning outsourcing grows in Brazil's construction and condominium sectors

The cleaning and conservation segment has emerged as the leader in Brazilian franchising growth for 2025, recording a 16.8% increase and a revenue of R$ 2.5 billion, according to the Associação Brasileira de Franchising (ABF). This expansion is driven by the growth of condominiums, a recovery in the construction sector, and a general push for cost control.

Data from the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) indicates a 1.2% rise in service volume in April 2026 compared to the previous month. Furthermore, activities linked to the Federação Nacional das Empresas Prestadoras de Serviços de Asseio e Conservação (Febrac) saw a positive balance of over 80,000 formal jobs between January and July 2025.

Industry experts note that the demand for outsourced cleaning is fueled by the need for operational efficiency, specialized labor, and the reduction of legal risks. Specifically, the Tribunal Superior do Trabalho (TST) Súmula 331 establishes the subsidiary responsibility of service takers for unpaid labor obligations, making the financial health and regularity of providers a critical factor in hiring decisions.
