Cleaning robots deployed in Russian airports and malls

Commercial cleaning robots are increasingly being integrated into daily operations across Russia, specifically within airports and shopping malls. According to research by the Moscow Innovation Cluster, Sber, and Skoltech, the number of indoor cleaning robots in Russia could reach 23,000 by 2030.

In the aviation sector, Domodedovo Airport has conducted tests with the NOBLELIFT ANB510 model, while Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg plans to deploy 16 robots to operate 24/7 in high-traffic areas starting this autumn. Additionally, the RUBI-S robot, developed by Moscow-based ROBO, has been operational at Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk since 2025.

The retail sector is also seeing adoption. KazanMall is testing the MARK 2 robot developed by Yaroslavl-based R2B, and the retail chain Lenta has purchased 42 cleaning robots for hypermarkets across four cities.

Research indicates that 60% of cleaning robot projects in Russia begin as pilot programs, significantly higher than the global average of 27%. This trend is supported by subscription-based business models, which account for 47% of applications in Russia, exceeding the global average.
