Cleantech Solar commissions 36 MWp solar capacity in Tamil Nadu

Cleantech Solar has commissioned 36 MWp of open-access solar projects in the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu. The projects are situated within the company’s 200 MWp renewable energy park.

The electricity will be supplied to corporate clients in the automotive, industrial manufacturing, and engineering sectors through long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs). This captive power model is intended to help these commercial and industrial customers meet their manufacturing energy needs and decarbonization objectives.

CEO Sanjay Gupta stated that the projects were delivered ahead of schedule and in record time while maintaining high health and safety standards. This expansion strengthens Cleantech Solar’s renewable energy portfolio within Tamil Nadu.
