Clearspace Family launches new screen-time management service
Clearspace has launched Clearspace Family, a 24/7 screen-time concierge service designed to help parents manage their children's digital habits. The brand, which previously offered screen-time management for adults, held a launch event in Los Angeles to facilitate discussions among parents regarding device access for tweens and teens.
Research highlights the importance of healthy media habits, with the American Academy of Pediatrics shifting focus from strict time limits toward establishing better digital behaviors. Studies indicate that parental phone use, often termed ‘parental phubbing,’ can negatively impact child development. Research suggests that when parents use mobile phones in the presence of children, they are significantly less likely to respond to their children's bids for attention, which can be linked to issues such as anxiety, aggression, and lower self-esteem in children.
