Clemson defeats Georgia Southern 22-7 led by freshman Tait Reynolds
Clemson defeated Georgia Southern 22-7 on Saturday night, following a two-hour lightning delay. Freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds led the Tigers to victory after replacing the injured starter, Christopher Vizzina.
Reynolds threw for 178 yards and led five scoring drives. Despite the win, the Clemson offense struggled with efficiency, converting only 2 of 13 third downs and scoring just one touchdown on five trips inside the red zone. Nolan Hauser contributed to the score with five successful field goal attempts.
The victory follows a significant 51-10 loss to LSU the previous week. The Tigers currently hold a 1-1 record for the season.
