Clemson LB Sammy Brown and Syracuse defender Samuel focus on upcoming season

Clemson linebacker Sammy Brown entered his sophomore year with ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and first‑team All‑ACC recognition after posting 107 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. Despite first‑round NFL Draft speculation, Brown said his priority is fall camp and improving his play and leadership for the Clemson defense.

Syracuse defensive back Samuel, a fourth‑place finisher for ACC Rookie Defensive Player of the Year, spent the off‑season building strength and speed while adapting to a new coaching staff, including coordinator Vince Kehres. He highlighted his ambition to contribute on both sides of the ball, leveraging work with defensive backs coach Perry Eliano and wide‑receiver coach Josh Gatis.

Both players emphasized preparation over draft talk and aim to help their teams succeed in the upcoming college football season.
