Clemson RB Gideon Davidson leads Tigers victory and earns AFCA honor

Clemson running back Gideon Davidson played a pivotal role in the Tigers' 28-20 comeback victory over North Carolina. Davidson recorded 105 rushing yards on 16 carries and scored a decisive 10-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, marking his first career touchdown.

Following the game, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney commented on the fan attendance during a significant two-hour and 25-minute weather delay. Swinney noted a decrease in fans during the third quarter but credited the remaining supporters for helping the team secure their eighth consecutive win against UNC.

Separately, the American Football Coaches Association named Davidson to the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. The honor recognizes his community service, including his work with Flourish Adoption Ministries and various local and international service projects.
