Clemson's final 2027 recruit Seth Williams sets July deadline

Clemson football’s last pending target for the 2027 recruiting class is four‑star safety Seth Williams, a 6‑foot‑2, 190‑lb prospect from Lakeside, Georgia. After decommitting from Clemson earlier this summer, Williams confirmed he will announce his decision by July 31, choosing between the Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Williams has spoken about the dilemma, saying Clemson has been “up there since I got the offer” and that both programs feel like a “dream school.” Recent defensive‑back commitments by Georgia, including Ta’Shawn Poole to Florida State and Adryan Cole to Georgia, leave Williams as Clemson’s lone remaining recruit for the class.

The decision follows a busy summer for Clemson, which has secured 18 commitments since mid‑May, and comes as the program aims to fill its secondary with top talent.
