CLERHP's Larimar City project in Punta Cana slated for first home deliveries this year

Spanish construction group CLERHP Estructuras is promoting Larimar City & Resort, a €600 million development in Punta Cana that is billed as the Caribbean’s first Smart City. The mixed‑use plan includes thousands of residential units, hotels, commercial spaces, sports and leisure facilities, and aims to create up to 3,000 direct and indirect jobs.

CLERHP, celebrating fifteen years on the market, announced that the first phase of housing will be handed over this year, reversing earlier statements that suggested delivery would not occur until 2027. The company also noted that it has secured the required environmental licence after earlier municipal permitting disputes. The project is positioned as a flagship for the group’s international expansion, linking its engineering and construction expertise from Spain and other Latin American markets to the Dominican Republic.

If the timeline holds, the initial homes will be occupied in 2024, marking a key milestone for the ambitious urban‑development scheme that envisions a sustainable, technology‑driven community for tens of thousands of future residents.
