Cleveland Browns coach dismisses supplemental draft option for QB Brendan Sorsby

The Browns currently have Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel competing for the starting role, and Monken expressed confidence in the quarterbacks already on the roster, stating there is “zero appetite” for Sorsby.

Monken’s comments came during OTAs as the team prepares for the 2026 season, and the legal battle over Sorsby’s eligibility remains unresolved. The coach emphasized that the franchise will focus on developing its existing players rather than pursuing a quarterback whose status is still uncertain.
