Cleveland Browns favor Deshaun Watson over Shedeur Sanders in QB race

Analyst Tony Grossi interpreted comments from Browns quarterback coach Mike Bajakian to suggest that the coaching staff prefers veteran Deshaun Watson, citing his ten years of experience and ability to deliver the ball under pressure. Watson, entering the final season of his five‑year, $230 million contract, is healthy and has received the majority of first‑team reps in OTAs and minicamp.

Shedeur Sanders, a former fifth‑round pick who earned a Pro Bowl nod as a rookie replacement, posted 1,400 passing yards, seven touchdowns and ten interceptions last season.
