Cleveland Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam Predicts Over 5.5 Wins for 2026 Season
At the Browns' training camp, owner Jimmy Haslam said he will “take the over” on the 5.5‑win total set for the 2026 NFL season, expressing confidence the team will exceed that mark and target a playoff berth in 2027. The prediction follows a 5‑12 campaign that led to the dismissal of head coach Kevin Stefanski and the hiring of former Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
Cleveland added ten draft picks, including offensive tackle Spencer Fano, receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, and safety Emmanuel McNeil‑Warren, while retaining defensive standouts Grant Delpit and Denzel Ward. The defense, which ranked fifth in yards allowed per play last year, lost Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams for defensive end Jared Verse and draft selections. The Browns hope the new talent and coaching staff will lift the offense and push the team beyond the modest win projection.
