Cleveland Browns waive wide receiver Cedric Tillman

The Cleveland Browns have waived wide receiver Cedric Tillman as the team works to trim its roster to the 53-man limit. Tillman, a 26-year-old former third-round pick from Tennessee, spent three seasons with the team, recording 71 receptions for 833 yards and five touchdowns.

The decision reflects a significant shift in Cleveland’s offensive depth chart. The team has invested heavily in new talent, including first-round pick KC Concepcion and second-rounder Denzel Boston, alongside veteran Jerry Jeudy and Isaiah Bond. The move is seen as a signal from head coach Todd Monken and general manager Andrew Berry regarding their commitment to upgrading the offense.

Waiving Tillman will create approximately $3.67 million in salary cap space for the Browns, with a dead money charge of only $270,000. Tillman will now enter the waiver wire; if he clears, he will become a free agent.
