Cleveland Browns reportedly sign DeJamil Muhammad as edge depth search continues

The Cleveland Browns are addressing depth issues at the defensive end position following the departure of Myles Garrett. According to his agent, DeJamil Muhammad has reportedly signed with the team. Muhammad, a former USC player, has not appeared in an NFL regular-season game since being undrafted in 2025 and previously spent time on the Carolina Panthers practice squad.

In a separate development regarding veteran pass rusher Za’Darius Smith, the Atlanta Falcons are reportedly in the mix for his services. Smith, who previously played under Kevin Stefanski in Cleveland, recently had a workout with the Falcons. Atlanta is seeking edge depth following an eight-game suspension for James Pearce Jr. and a season-ending ACL injury to Jalon Walker. While the Browns have been pursuing Smith to bolster their defensive line, the competition for his signing may come down to financial terms or team outlook.
