Cleveland Browns sign Audric Estime amid running back injuries

The Cleveland Browns are facing significant depth issues in their backfield following injuries to multiple running backs. Raheim Sanders has been placed on injured reserve for at least four games after suffering a hip injury during a 17-12 loss to the New York Jets. Sanders had appeared in all five games this season.

To address the shortage, the Browns signed Audric Estime from the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad. Estime, a former fifth-round pick out of Notre Dame, has previously played for the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints, accumulating over 500 career rushing yards.

The team is also monitoring the status of Quinshon Judkins, who is considered day-to-day after tweaking his ankle. The Browns' offensive struggles have been compounded by pressure on quarterback Deshaun Watson, leading to expectations that Estime may need to contribute not only in rushing but also in pass protection.
