Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. sees reduced production

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has experienced a decline in statistical production during the 2026 season compared to his standout rookie year. Last season, Fannin led the team with 72 receptions, 731 receiving yards, and six touchdowns. In the first six games of the current season, his yards per catch has dropped to an average of 8.7.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson and head coach Todd Monken attributed the shift to a more distributed offensive approach and the addition of new receiving threats, including rookie wide receivers Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion, alongside Jerry Jeudy. Watson noted that the team must ‘pick your spots’ based on defensive coverage and play calls, emphasizing that the team has ‘four different guys and one football.’

The Browns' offense has struggled with efficiency, ranking 26th in the NFL in pass attempts and 29th in total yardage. Recent games have seen Fannin's involvement fluctuate, including a single-catch performance in Week 6 against the Ravens.
