In recent organized team activities, veteran Deshaun Watson and second‑year Shedeur Sanders continued to compete, with drills showing Sanders handling first‑group assignments and Watson working with the second group. Watson, on a costly $230 million contract and returning from two Achilles surgeries, has not played since October 2024. Sanders, who started the final seven games last season, posted modest numbers – seven touchdowns, ten interceptions and a 3‑4 record as a starter.

Separately, analyst Zac Jackson highlighted a potential supplemental‑draft candidate, Brendan Sorsby, a former Cincinnati quarterback now at Texas Tech. Sorsby faces a gambling investigation that could push him toward entering the NFL supplemental draft, where teams bid future picks for his rights. Jackson suggested the Browns might consider taking a chance on Sorsby as another option at the position.
