Cleveland Cavaliers to broadcast 15 games on free local TV

The Cleveland Cavaliers have partnered with Gray Media and DAZN to broadcast 15 regular-season games for free on local television. The agreement allows fans to watch games over-the-air via stations such as WOIO (CBS 19) and WUAB (MyNet 43) without a streaming subscription.

The broadcast package includes pregame and postgame coverage. While the primary Cleveland market is covered, Gray Media is working to secure additional broadcast partners in other areas of the team’s footprint, including Columbus, Cincinnati, Lima, and Parkersburg, West Virginia. In markets where broadcast deals are not secured, the games may be made available via streaming on DAZN or Gray Media’s website and app using geofencing technology.

The first televised game is scheduled for Monday, October 26, when the Cavaliers face the Minnesota Timberwolves. The partnership aims to increase accessibility for fans, with Rock Entertainment Group CEO Nic Barlage noting that the move triples the number of games available for free.
