Cleveland Magazine ranks 25 best suburbs for 2026

Cleveland Magazine has released its 2026 rankings of the 25 best suburbs to live in within the Greater Cleveland area. The publication evaluated 77 Northeast Ohio communities based on several criteria, including education, safety, housing, taxes, walkability, diversity, and entertainment.

Chagrin Falls secured the number one position for the second consecutive year, noted for its top-ranked school system, high entertainment marks, and improved safety ranking. Rocky River remains a consistent top performer, having placed first or second in seven of the last ten years due to its schools and safety. Pepper Pike also maintained a top-five position for the sixth year in a row, despite a decline in its safety ranking.
