CLI San Jorge to present interoceanic corridor opportunities in El Salvador
The Centro Logístico Internacional San Jorge (CLI San Jorge) will present business opportunities in San Salvador on November 13. The initiative focuses on developing a new port logistics platform on the Guatemalan Atlantic coast, designed to attract Salvadoran investors and businesses.
The project offers two primary strategic paths for local industry: establishing operations within a new free zone regime on the Atlantic coast to expand export capabilities, or participating as investment partners in the interoceanic corridor through COINGT. COINGT is a regulated Salvadoran digital asset that allows participation in the future flows of the issuing company under El Salvador’s Digital Asset Issuance Law.
Guillermo Catalán, president of the Consorcio Interoceánico de Guatemala S.A. (CIGSA), described the project as an opportunity to connect two oceans for global trade. The event is supported by several Salvadoran business organizations, including the Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales (ASI), the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (CAMARASAL), and the Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT).
