Climate change increases wildfire intensity and duration
Juli G. Pausas, a research professor at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), highlights the critical role of climate change in increasing wildfire risks. These climatic shifts dry out vegetation and increase plant mortality, leading to higher probabilities of more intense, faster, and larger wildfires.
