Climeworks and Davies introduce new carbon compliance services for aviation and insurers
Climeworks Solutions, the Zurich‑based carbon removal company, has launched an expanded service aimed at helping organisations meet emerging climate compliance frameworks. The offering provides dedicated expertise and framework‑specific sourcing for three initial areas: the ICAO Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), Article 6.2 bilateral mechanisms under the Paris Agreement, and the European Union’s Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Certification Framework. Chief Commercial Officer Adrian Siegrist said the service combines the firm’s sourcing and due‑diligence capabilities with policy and market expertise to help airlines and other buyers navigate a fast‑changing regulatory landscape.
Separately, specialist professional services firm Davies has partnered with data‑analytics provider Verisk to roll out a carbon‑tracking solution for UK and Ireland property insurers. Powered by the Verisk Property Claims Carbon Calculator and independently assured by the Carbon Trust Assurance, the tool embeds claim‑level emissions data into daily workflows, allowing insurers to benchmark performance, meet Scope 3 reporting requirements and identify emission‑reduction opportunities across repair activities. Claims Director Adam Shaw highlighted that the solution offers transparent, claim‑by‑claim insight into emissions while maintaining cost control and service quality.
