Călin Georgescu receives blessing from Metropolitan Streza in Sibiu

Călin Georgescu and his wife, Cristela, received a blessing from Metropolitan Laurențiu Streza during a service at the Monastery of Saints Peter and Paul in Cârțișoara, Sibiu County. This visit marks Georgescu’s first trip to the Sibiu region following the annulled elections and the commencement of his legal proceedings.

During the archiereal liturgy, Metropolitan Streza delivered a sermon regarding the ‘Parable of the Wicked Workers,’ discussing the use of freedom and the consequences for those who act against nature. The meeting appeared to be a planned event, as the Metropolitan presented a bouquet of flowers to Cristela Georgescu.

Prior to the religious service, Georgescu also visited a floating market in Cisnădie. His presence in the region follows a period of political controversy involving his presidential candidacy and ongoing judicial processes.
