Călin Georgescu security team reduced following arrest

Following the preventive arrest of former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu, his security detail has undergone significant reductions. Reports indicate that the team, which previously consisted of approximately 12 agents with military training, has been downsized to just three individuals. These remaining agents are tasked with providing protection for his wife, Cristela Georgescu.

The security team was previously coordinated by Marin Burcea, a former Foreign Legion fighter. While the agents were initially assured of their job security regardless of judicial decisions, most have reportedly been sent home. These changes occurred alongside the seizure of funds from the politician's bank accounts.
