Călinești inaugurates new disability day center in Argeș

A new day center for adults with disabilities has been inaugurated in the commune of Călinești, Argeș County. The project, valued at nearly 4 million lei, was funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The facility aims to provide support, recovery, and care services to beneficiaries and their families. Currently, 90 individuals are enrolled, with the center capable of serving eight people daily. The professional team includes social workers, medical assistants, and physiotherapists, with medical services supplemented by physician collaboration.

Services offered include psychological support, social integration counseling, physiotherapy, medical assistance, and adapted daily activities. The center will also host creative workshops, educational activities, music, art, and physical exercises to promote community socialization and integration.
