Clinical trials play a vital role in medical research and drug safety
Clinical trials are essential research studies involving human volunteers used to determine the safety and efficacy of new medicines. These studies provide critical data reviewed by health authorities, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), before a treatment can be prescribed.
Despite their importance, awareness remains low. A survey conducted by The Harris Poll for Regeneron found that while approximately 90% of individuals who have participated in or had a loved one participate in a clinical trial would recommend them, only about 5% of people in the United States have ever taken part in one.
