Clint Eastwood, 96, credits curiosity for staying active in film

Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood celebrated his 96th birthday on May 31 and said he remains active in the film industry. He explained that his continued work is driven by a love of learning, stating, "The reason I still work at this stage of my life is that I enjoy learning something new every day."

Eastwood, who rose to fame in the 1960s Spaghetti Westerns and later expanded into directing and producing, said his curiosity and desire to try new things keep him motivated. He highlighted his transition from acting to directing as a sign of his ongoing growth.

Born in San Francisco in 1930 to a working‑class family, Eastwood’s early experiences of moving frequently and taking various jobs helped shape the independence and resilience he attributes to his long career.
