Clinton Bell trial date set for child sexual abuse charges

Clinton Bell, a 42-year-old man from Moruya, has a trial date scheduled for March 8, 2027. During an arraignment at Bega District Court, Bell pleaded guilty to 107 charges involving the use of a child under 14 to create child sexual abuse material.

Bell entered pleas of not guilty to three additional charges, which include sexual intercourse with a child under 10, sexual assault, an act of indecency with a child under 10, and sexual touching of a child under 16.

At a callover at Sydney's Downing Centre, Judge Christopher O'Brien allocated five days for the hearing. Crown prosecutor Kirsty McKinnon stated that the prosecution intends to present evidence from three witnesses, consisting of one civilian and two police officers.
