Clipto AI raises $15M at $250M valuation for on-device AI

Clipto AI, a startup specializing in on-device multimodal AI tools, has raised $15 million in an all-equity funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $250 million. The company provides a platform that indexes and searches video, audio, images, and documents locally on a user’s device using natural-language prompts.

By processing data locally rather than through cloud services, Clipto aims to offer lower latency and enhanced privacy, which is particularly relevant for sectors with strict data compliance requirements such as healthcare and education. The company reports having more than 10 million users across more than 100 countries and has achieved over $15 million in annual recurring revenue.

Founded in 2023 by Henry Kang, the startup maintains teams in San Francisco, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The new capital is intended to fund expansion, including the development of a Windows platform and further research and development.
