Clive Barker launches ‘Library of the Dead’ horror anthology series

Horror and dark fantasy author Clive Barker has launched a new anthology book series titled ‘Library of the Dead’ via a Kickstarter campaign. The project, a collaboration between Clive Barker Ink and Ensata Press, is described as a spiritual successor to his classic ‘Books of Blood’.

The series consists of three hardcover volumes: ‘Fear Eternal’, ‘Pyres of Bedlam’, and ‘Dark Descents’. The collection will feature a mix of brand new original stories and curated, rare, or previously out-of-print short fiction. The books are scheduled to be distributed on a quarterly basis throughout 2027.

Backers through Kickstarter will have access to various editions, including hardcover, leather, and special limited editions. The volumes will also include black-and-white illustrations and poetry created by Barker himself.
