LFP to launch Ligue 1 TV rights tender for 2027-2032
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has approved a tender process for Ligue 1 broadcasting rights covering the 2027-2032 period. The bidding process is scheduled to run from November 3 to December 7, 2026.
LFP President Vincent Labrune stated that the league has received concrete interest from various market actors. Following recent legislative changes regarding professional sports financing, the LFP is considering selling the rights as a single package rather than in separate lots. This move aims to increase the attractiveness of the product and maximize valuation.
The decision to accelerate the timeline follows the performance of Ligue 1+, the league's own streaming platform. While the platform provided a necessary solution during previous broadcasting uncertainties, its revenues have been significantly lower than the historical levels previously achieved through traditional broadcasting deals.
