Clínica Especializada Condesa in GAM reaches 60% construction progress
Construction of the new Clínica Especializada Condesa in the Gustavo A. Madero (GAM) borough of Mexico City has surpassed 60% progress. Located within Deportivo Los Galeana, the project represents an investment of 85 million pesos and is the first new facility for this specialized system in a decade.
The clinic is scheduled to open on December 1, coinciding with World AIDS Day. It aims to expand free access to HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in the northern part of the capital, reducing the need for residents to travel to other specialized sites.
Spanning approximately 8,000 square meters, the facility will include four buildings: outpatient consultation, admissions, general services, and laboratories. The outpatient area will feature 38 consultation rooms covering internal medicine, general medicine, and gynecology. Services will include rapid and confirmatory HIV testing, antiretroviral treatment, free medication, PrEP and PEP prevention, and specialized psychological counseling. The center will also provide support for trans and non-binary individuals, as well as comprehensive assistance for victims of sexual violence.
