Clínica Maternidad Sagrada Familia suspended in Cholula

The Directorate for Protection against Sanitary Risks of the State of Puebla (DPRIS) has ordered the total and definitive suspension of the Clínica Maternidad Sagrada Familia in San Pedro Cholula. The decision follows an integral inspection that revealed irregularities regarding infrastructure, operations, documentation, and the handling of medications.

During the investigation, authorities seized 54 ampoules of various medications found in the anesthesiology area. The clinic had previously been under a partial suspension in its surgical, inpatient, and delivery areas after an initial visit on July 18, which was limited because certain sections were secured by the Prosecutor's Office.

The suspension follows a lawsuit involving the death of a six-year-old girl, allegedly due to medical negligence. The Puebla State Government stated that these sanitary surveillance actions are intended to ensure medical establishments comply with necessary safety conditions to protect patient health.
