CLOGSAG leadership dispute heads to High Court

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) is facing a leadership dispute regarding the validity of recent executive appointments.

Benjamin Otoo, acting as President, has issued a directive to members, regional executives, and district executives to disregard purported new appointments. Otoo stated that the legitimacy of these appointments is currently before the High Court and urged members to refrain from implementing any administrative actions or directives arising from them until a judicial ruling is issued. He called for calm and respect for the judicial process to protect the association's institutional integrity.

In a separate development, Samuel Antwi has been appointed as the Acting President of the CLOGSAG National Executive Council (NEC). This appointment follows the removal of Benjamin Otoo during a meeting held on September 17, 2026. Antwi, a human resource professional, has pledged to focus on unity and advocating for improved salary structures and service conditions for members.
