CLOSE YOUR EYES releases fourth mini-album ‘256th Note’

K-pop group CLOSE YOUR EYES has released their fourth mini-album, titled ‘256th Note’. The project is inspired by the spontaneity of jazz, aiming to capture raw emotions and the natural flow of time through music rather than following formulaic structures.

The seven-member group—consisting of Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Kenshin, and Seo Kyoungbae—seeks to establish a distinct musical identity by experimenting with various genres. The album features seven tracks, including the pre-release song ‘Open Your Eyes’, which blends jazz, hip-hop, and R&B through piano arpeggios and saxophone.

The title track, ‘Drop That!’, incorporates a sample of ‘Enjoy This Night’ by Korean jazz-funk pioneer Yoon Si-nae, reimagining it in a 90s street hip-hop style. Additionally, the track ‘Eternity’ was written by the members as a tribute to their fans.
