Clothing care tips for stain removal and garment maintenance

Practical methods for maintaining delicate clothing and removing stubborn stains are highlighted through various household techniques.

To address yellow sweat stains on white garments, which often result from the interaction between sweat and deodorant residues, natural remedies can be used. A paste made of baking soda and water can be applied to the area for 20 to 30 minutes before washing. For more recent stains, Marseille soap applied directly to the damp area can be effective.

Proper care for swimwear is also essential to prevent damage to elastic fibers and stitching. Before washing, sand should be carefully removed by gently stretching the fabric to release grains from the weave. Hand washing is generally recommended to preserve the integrity of the material and prevent issues like sunblock stains or yellowing.
