Cloud computing adoption rises in Poland amid growing cybersecurity needs

The adoption of cloud computing among Polish companies has seen significant growth, rising from 7.3% in 2015 to 54.9% in 2025. Large enterprises lead this trend, with over 86% utilizing cloud services. While 27% of Polish firms report high cloud maturity, nearly half consider their maturity to be at a medium level.

As businesses become increasingly dependent on software-managed solutions and artificial intelligence, experts emphasize that cybersecurity and data sovereignty are becoming critical components of IT infrastructure. Key concerns include data storage locations, jurisdictional control, and the ability to migrate data between environments to ensure digital resilience.

Despite these advancements, the European Commission has noted that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Poland are lagging behind their EU counterparts in adopting key technologies. For businesses relying on cloud services, efficient data transmission is essential. Experts recommend investing in symmetrical internet connections to ensure identical download and upload speeds, which are vital for high-quality video conferencing and seamless cloud file editing.
